kimimina: you need to contact the NARA in either Washington,DC or Kansas city,MO and see if they have heirship papers on your father, his parents and/or Geraldine scott and her parents.

You might also contact the Fort peck BIA office or Tribal office and see what they have. You will need to write to them, as they do not accept phone call inquiries.
give them the information you have and how your e related to them.

kimimina I'm from the fort peck reservation and know the buckles youve mentioned, The ones your talking about I know the fathers name is JAMES BUCKLES SR, JAMES BUCKLES JR (SONNY) , BARRY BUCKLES , AND AGNES (SISSY),

Geraldine Scott was a twin, just like her father. Her twin brother's name was Gerald and her parents names were Ray Scott and Ruth Yellow Hawk (Ray's 2nd wife). She had a few siblings. Ray's parents names were Emma Kills Thunder and Thomas Scott. Ruth's parents names were Yellow Hawk (father) and First Elk (mother). I also believe that in Ancestry Ray and Roy are also going by the names Dew and Brave. I hope that helps with that part of your search!  ___thanks so much for your information leb49. hey wow! thats pretty cool info. Pabaska, the info you have on Emma i'd like to see as well I know her married name was Kills Thunder (the name of one of her husbands). do you have a lot of info on people in Ft Peck? |
